I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Theft prevention involves a combination of awareness, strong security measures and personal precautions to protect yourselves, your belongings , your homes and property. Simple measures that can be undertaken for your personal awareness and safety such as:- a) Stay alert in crowded areas, stay alert Pickpockets often target distracted individuals, avoid using phone in crowded places if possible, Avoid dim lit areas, stick to well lit streets, keep valuables away from public gaze and limit valuables when going out, only carry what you need and distribute items like cash, card , keys in different places.
